Recreation Program

Live Through Rec specializes in recreation programming designed for people of all abilities and open to the general population. Our programs encompass a wide range of activities—including sports, art, music, dance, hiking, and more—tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. Through these engaging activities, we aim to enhance or maintain physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being, empowering individuals to fully participate in life. Whether through creative expression, outdoor adventures, or fitness pursuits, our programs support personal growth and development for everyone.

Bike Riding Program

The Live Through Rec Bike Riding Program is aimed at teaching all children and teens, no matter ability, how to ride a two wheel bike independently, while setting the stage for enjoyment and sense of accomplishment. Bike riding lessons are safe and easy, your child will learn how to balance, pedal, start, stop, and steer a bicycle all from our trained and experienced instructors.

Adaptive Bike Riding: Live Through Rec is proud to offer this program to all individuals. Our trained instructors have the expertise and resources to provide individualized modifications to ensure the success and safety of all children and teens participating in the program.

Learn Through Rec: Tutoring

Live Through Rec offers dynamic multi-sensory learning services designed to engage children in hands-on, experiential learning. Our approach encourages movement, exploration, and active participation, recognizing that learning is most effective when it stimulates the senses and involves the whole body. We believe that all children can thrive and develop through recreation, where activities are not only educational but also fun and interactive. Our philosophy is rooted in the idea that every child can learn through active, sensory-rich experiences.

We focus on helping children master academic standards through multi-sensory activities inspired by the Orton-Gillingham approach. Our interactive and stimulating methods enhance literacy skills and foster engagement. By incorporating movement-based activities, we create an environment where learning is both enjoyable and effective. This approach ensures that our students remain motivated and confident as they tackle complex academic concepts.

 At Live Through Rec, our instructors collaborate closely with your child’s teachers and other educational staff to ensure a cohesive approach to learning. By sharing insights and strategies, we tailor our multi-sensory activities to align with classroom goals and academic standards. Together, we foster motivation and confidence, empowering students to succeed. 

Sports Training Program

The Live Through Rec Sport Program is designed for athletes of all ages and abilities, our athletes learn the basics of the sport of their choosing, while facilitating social skills, confidence, and sportsmanship. All sessions are modified to our athletes individual goals while their positive efforts are praised. Through the constant encouragement and successful experiences provided by the program, all athletes will gain confidence and self-esteem that will enable them to challenge themselves in the future.

Fitness Program

The Live Through Rec Fitness Program includes cardiovascular exercises, light weight training, and corestrengthening exercises to enhance muscle tone, weight loss/gain, flexibility, balance, and agility. Our instructors are patient, enthusiastic, and great communicators in order for all participants to feel confident and comfortable. Participants will enhance their physical functioning, achieve individualized goals, and learn nutritional facts.
